Aston University is offering the Ferguson Scholarship for the 2026/27 academic year. This opportunity is open only to students from Africa and India who want to study a postgraduate course in the United Kingdom.
The scholarship is supported by the Allan and Nesta Ferguson Charitable Trust, an organization that helps students from developing countries gain access to higher education in the UK.
Benefits and Duration
Successful applicants will receive financial support to study at Aston University. The scholarship includes:
- Full tuition fee coverage worth £22,500
- £6,000 allowance to help with living expenses
In total, the scholarship package is valued at £28,500.

- MSc Neuroscience for Drug Discovery
- MSc Addiction and Mental Health
- MSc Bioinformatics and Genomic Medicine
- Master of Public Health (MPH)
Eligibility
To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must:
- Have a conditional or unconditional admission offer for one of the eligible courses
- Be a citizen of an African country or India
- Hold a 2:1 degree or an equivalent qualification in a related field
- Submit a strong personal statement when applying for the course
- Be a self-funded student
How to Apply
Follow these steps to apply for the Ferguson Scholarship:
- Apply for your chosen course on the official website of Aston University by selecting “Apply Now” on the course page.
- After submitting your course application, complete the scholarship application form before the deadline.
- You will need to include your 9-digit application number starting with 25… in the scholarship form.
The application deadline is June 2026 (midnight UK time), which is the final extended deadline.
