Umaru Musa Yar’adua University (UMYU) is a state-owned university located in Katsina, Katsina State, Nigeria. It was established in 2006 by the Katsina State Government to provide quality higher education and promote research, learning, and community development.

The university is named after Late President Umaru Musa Yar’adua, who was also a former governor of Katsina State and played a major role in founding the institution.
