NILEST Releases Post-UTME/DE Admission Form for 2024/2025 Academic Session

The Nigerian Institute of Leather and Science Technology (NILEST) has officially released the Post-UTME/Direct Entry (DE) admission form for the 2024/2025 academic session.       Eligibility Criteria

      To be eligible for the NILEST Post-UTME/DE screening, candidates must meet the following requirements:

      1. Post-UTME Candidates:
      • Candidates must have selected NILEST as their first choice in the 2024 UTME.
      • They must have scored a minimum of 140 in the 2024 UTME.
      • Applicants should possess at least five (5) credit passes in relevant subjects, including English Language and Mathematics, in either WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB, obtained in not more than two sittings.

      2. Direct Entry Candidates:

        • DE candidates must have chosen NILEST as their first choice.
        • They must possess relevant A-Level qualifications, ND/HND, NCE, or any equivalent qualification.
        • General Entry Requirements for HND:
        • Candidates must possess a National Diploma (ND) from an accredited institution in the relevant field (e.g., Leather Technology, Polymer Technology, or Science Laboratory Technology).
        • They should have obtained at least a Lower Credit or Merit grade in their ND program.
        • One year of relevant industrial work experience after completing the ND program is required.
        • O’Level Requirements: Applicants must also meet the O’Level subject requirements for the corresponding National Diploma (ND) program (as listed above).
        • Candidates with a Pass grade in ND programs but who have completed a two-year post-ND industrial attachment may also be considered for admission.

        How to Apply for NILEST Post-UTME/DE Admission

        Candidates should follow the steps below to apply for the NILEST 2024/2025 Post-UTME/DE screening:

        1. Visit the NILEST Admission Portal:

        • Log in with your JAMB Registration Number and create a profile on the admission portal.
        1. Payment of Screening Fee:
        • Pay a non-refundable screening fee of ₦2,000 using the available online payment options.
        1. Complete the Online Application:
        • Fill out the online application form by providing accurate personal details, UTME/DE results, and educational qualifications.
        1. Upload Required Documents:
        • Upload scanned copies of your O’Level/ A’Level results, JAMB result slip, and a passport photograph.

        • Submit the completed application form and print the acknowledgment slip, which will be required during the screening process.
