FUTO Releases Supplementary Post UTME Admission Form for 2024/2025 Academic Session

The Federal University of Technology, Owerri (FUTO), has officially announced the release of its supplementary Post-UTME admission form for the 2024/2025 academic session. This opportunity is aimed at candidates who were not offered admission during the first round of the Post-UTME process or those seeking admission into other preferred programs.

Eligibility for the Supplementary Post-UTME Form

To be eligible to apply for the supplementary admission, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  1. Participation in FUTO’s Post-UTME Screening: Applicants must have participated in the university’s initial Post-UTME screening for the 2024/2025 session. With a minimum Aggregate score of 40.
  2. Minimum Score Requirements: Candidates must have scored at least 160 in the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and met the general and departmental cut-off marks.
  3. O’Level Results: Applicants must have a minimum of five O’Level credits, including Mathematics and English Language, in not more than two sittings.
  4. Availability of Vacancies: Admission will only be granted for courses with available slots, and candidates are advised to check the list of available programs before applying.

Note: Candidates who did not choose FUTO as their first choice must change to FUTO on JAMB CAPS to be considered for admission.

Programs Available for Supplementary Admission

FUTO’s supplementary admission is open for various courses in the following faculties:

  • School of Engineering and Engineering Technology (SEET)
  • School of Physical Sciences (SOPS)
  • School of Biological Sciences (SOBS)
  • School of Environmental Sciences (SOES)
  • School of Management Technology (SMAT)

Specific courses with available spaces will be listed on the university’s official website.

Application Process

Interested candidates are advised to follow these steps to apply for the supplementary Post-UTME form:

  1. Visit the FUTO Portal: Go to the official FUTO website at http://www.futo.edu.ng (https://www.futo.edu.ng).
  2. Click on “school portal”.
  3. Click on “supplementary”.
  4. Click on “generate invoice” and enter your JAMB registration number.
  5. Application fee: N15,000.00 if you had earlier applied for the Post-UTME Screening. N17,000.00 for a fresh application.
  6. Make the payment using your card or take the invoice to a bank to complete the payment.
  7. Return to the “school portal”, click on “supplementary”, then “application form”.
  8. Fill in your details on the form and print it out.
  9. Submit and Print: Submit the application and print out a confirmation slip for reference.

Important Dates

  • Application Start Date: November 15, 2024
  • Application Deadline: December 31, 2024

Additional Information

  • Merit cut-off is the general cut-off for all candidates, irrespective of their state of origin, while the catchment cut-off applies only to candidates from FUTO’s five catchment states(Abia, Anambra, Ebonyi, Enugu, and Imo).
  • Candidates are encouraged to ensure their O’Level results are uploaded to the JAMB portal on or before Tuesday, December 31, 2024 to qualify for assessment. Failure to do so may result in disqualification.
  • Applicants should carefully select courses based on their eligibility and the university’s requirements.
  • Candidates should refer to the JAMB brochure for proper guidance, particularly regarding UTME subject combinations and SSCE requirements.
  • Candidates must ensure that their details on the FUTO portal and JAMB CAPS are identical.
  • Only candidates with complete details in JAMB CAPS and the FUTO portal on or before december 31, 2024, will be assessed for admission.

The FUTO supplementary Post-UTME form provides a second chance for prospective students to secure admission into the university.
