Ahmadu Bello University’s Division of Agricultural Colleges (DAC) is pleased to announce the commencement of sales for application forms into its Part-time Certificate Programs at Samaru College of Agriculture for the 2024/2025 academic session.
Available Part-time Certificate Programs:
- Sustainable Crop Production and Management
- Sustainable Livestock Production Management
- Horticulture and Landscape Management
- Catering and Hotel Management
Program Highlights:
- Duration: One academic year (two semesters)
- Learning Approach:
- 30% Modular classroom teaching
- 70% Hands-on training, field practicals, and study tours
- Certification: Participants who successfully complete coursework, practicals, exams, and a final project (with a minimum pass mark of 60%) will be awarded a Certificate.

- Application Period: Monday, 20th January to Friday, 28th February 2025
- Application Fee: ₦2,500
- School Fees: ₦38,500 per course
Admission Requirements
Candidates must have at least five passes in any of the following subjects:
- English Language
- Mathematics
- Agricultural Science
- Biology
- Physics
- Chemistry
- Economics
- For Catering and Hotel Management, candidates can also present Home Economics as one of the five passes.
- All results must be from WAEC, GCE, NECO, or equivalent and obtained in no more than two sittings.
How to Apply:
- Visit the DAC ABU Application Portal: https://portal.dac.abu.edu.ng/eforms/
- Select “Click here to apply.”
- Enter the relevant information and click “Create Account.”
- Click on “Generate RRR” to obtain your Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR) Transaction ID.
- You can either pay via Remita using your ATM card or print the “Transaction Slip” and make your payment at any commercial bank that is online.
- After payment, log in with your username and password to continue with your registration.
Important Dates:
- Application Deadline: Friday, 28th February 2025.
- Commencement of Lectures: Monday, 3rd March 2025.
