The David Sainsbury Scholarship gives students from developing countries a chance to earn a Master’s degree at the University of East Anglia. The 2026 David Sainsbury Scholarship is a one-year, fully funded MSc program at the University of East Anglia, supported by the David Sainsbury Laboratory.
This one-year course includes five taught modules and a research project that takes five months. These parts are required for this course.
Benefits
Each full scholarship includes:
- The full tuition fee (£37,200 for international students in 2026-27, £18,850 for UK students)
- A maintenance grant (exact amount for 2026-27 is yet to be confirmed; for 2025-26 it was £20,780)
- An extra £4,000 to help with travel costs (you need to provide valid economy class travel receipts)
Eligibility
To apply for the David Sainsbury Scholarship UEA 2025, you must:
- Have an offer to study the UEA MSc in Global Plant Health
- Be a citizen or resident of a least-developed, low-income, or lower-middle-income country or territory as listed by the Overseas Development Agency Development Assistance Committee (DAC) list for 2026-27.
There are only a few scholarships available, so it’s best to apply early.
