At Seoul National University in Korea, the Samsung SDI Scholarship is now open for international applicants.

The SSBT program is a project started with Samsung SDI to help develop talent. Students who are chosen for the SSBT scholarship will get a monthly payment from SNU and, if they work with Samsung SDI, they can receive extra support from the company. This program also promises a job at Samsung SDI after graduation.

Eligibility

To apply for the Samsung SDI Scholarship at Seoul National University, you need to meet these criteria:

You must be a prospective or current student in the 2026 SNU graduate school Master’s program, or a Ph.D. student who has finished their coursework.
Current Master’s students should have at least two semesters left when they apply.
Ph.D. students who have completed their coursework must also have at least two semesters remaining before graduation, and they should be able to graduate within two years.
You need to be in a battery or secondary battery-related major within specific departments of the SNU SSBT program, such as Materials Science and Engineering, Chemical and Biological Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, or Chemistry in the College of Natural Sciences.
Students from other departments majoring in battery or secondary battery fields can also apply.
You should want to work at Samsung SDI after you graduate.
