The KI Global Masters Scholarships provide some tuition fee help for great students admitted to Global Master’s Programs at the Karolinska Institute starting in the Autumn. Karolinska Institute is a top school in medicine, focused on improving human health through research and education. They offer tuition fee scholarships for strong students in their Global Master’s Programs starting each Autumn.
Each year, Karolinska Institutet gives out 10 scholarships across all Global Master’s Programs. Many students apply around 1500 international students try for these scholarships each year.
Benefits
The scholarship only pays for tuition fees (or part of them for programs only partly given by Karolinska Institute). Students need to find other funding for travel, living, and other costs.
Also, the KI Global Master’s Scholarship is only for students in a Global Master’s Program at Karolinska Institutet and cannot be used for other studies.
Eligibility
To be eligible, you must:
- Apply to a Global Master’s Program at Karolinska Institutet for 2025.
- Be a student from outside the EU/EEA who needs to pay tuition.
- Pay the application fee by [2 February 2026].
- Meet the entry and documentation requirements for the program you applied for.
- Only first-year students can apply.
Selection Process for the Karolinska Institutet Global Scholarship
The selection is based on evaluating your CV and qualifications submitted through University Admissions along with your application for a program at Karolinska Institutet. Scholarship winners will be notified on [27 April 2025].
Important Dates:
- 2 February 2026: Deadline to submit your CV via University Admissions.
- 9 February to 25 February 2026: Time to apply for the scholarship.
- 27 April 2026: Winners will be notified by email.
- 30 April 2026: Deadline to accept the scholarship offer.
How to Apply
If you want to apply for the KI Global Scholarship, please follow these steps:

- Apply for admission to one of the Master’s programs at Karolinska Institutet that you like.
- Make sure to complete your admission application between [October 15, 2025] and [February 2, 2026].
- After you get your admission, you can apply for the scholarship in [2026].
- The scholarship application period is from [February 9-25, 2026].
