The Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro has officially released the screening examination dates for Higher National Diploma (HND) Full-Time (FT) applicants for the 2024/2025 academic session. Prospective HND students should prepare adequately and ensure they are aware of all screening requirements to maximize their chances of securing admission.

Screening Examination Overview

The HND Full-Time Screening Examination at Ilaro Polytechnic is a mandatory assessment designed to evaluate candidates’ suitability for admission into various HND programs. This examination tests applicants’ understanding of foundational knowledge relevant to their chosen courses and their overall readiness for the HND curriculum.

Examination Date and Venue

The HND screening examination is scheduled to take place as follows:

DAY 1

• Exam Date: Tuesday,5th November, 2024
• Time: 8:00am.

All HND Applicants in the following Schools;

(A) SCHOOL OF MANAGEMENT STUDIES

• DEPARTMENTS: Accountancy, Banking and Finance, Business Administration, Insurance, Marketing, Public Administration and Taxation.

(B) SCHOOL OF COMMUNICATION AND INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY

• DEPARTMENTS: Library and Information Science, Mass Communication, Music Technology, Office Technology and Management.

(C) SCHOOL OF ENVIRINMENTAL STUDIES

• DEPARTMENTS: Architectural Technology, Art and Design, Building Technology, Estate Management, Quantity Surveying, Surveying and Geo-informatics, Transportation Planning and Management, Urban and Regional Planning.

DAY 2

• Exam Date: Thursday, 7th November, 2024.
• Time: 8:00am.

All HIND Applicants in the following Schools:

(a) SCHOOL OF AGRICULTURAL TECHNOLOGY

• Departments: Agricultural Extension and Management, Animal Production Technology, Crop Production Technology

(b) SCHOOL OF ENGINEERING

• Departments: Agricultural and Bio-Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Welding and Fabrication

(c) SCHOOL OF PURE AND APPLIED SCIENCES

• Departments: Computer Science, Food Technology, Hospitality Management, Mathematics and Statistics, Nutrition and Dietetics, Science Laboratory Technology, Tourism Management.

NOTE:

• The Venue for all Entrance Examination is the Polytechnic ICT Centre, West Campus
• ALL ENTRANCE EXAMINATIONS ARE COMPUTER-BASED (CB).
• The closing date for the submission of the Online Application Form for all HND Full-Time is 1st NOVEMBER, 2024.

REQUIREMENTS FOR THE SCREENING EXAMINATION

All HND Candidates are required to bring two (3) sets of the following documents to the Examination centre.

1. Print-outs of the Acknowledgment and Examination Slips.
2. Clean and Clear copies of ND Notification of Result and O/Level result.
3. Completion of Industrial Attachment letter (IT Letter).
