Eligibility Criteria
Interested applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Educational Qualifications:
- Candidates must possess at least five (5) credits in relevant subjects, including English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics, in not more than two sittings in WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB.
- A combination of results from WAEC and NECO is accepted. However, NABTEB cannot be combined with any other examination body.
- Physical and Mental Health:
Candidates must be in good physical and mental health and be able to provide a medical fitness certificate upon request.

Step 1: RECEIPT COLLECTION AND NUMBER ACQUISITION
- Take the bank teller to the Bursary Department of the Bayelsa State College of Nursing Sciences.
- Request for a receipt in exchange for your bank teller. This receipt will contain a unique number.
Step 2: ONLINE APPLICATION FORM SUBMISSION
- Visit the college’s online application portal: http://www.byscons.edu.ng/portal Use the unique receipt number obtained from the Bursary Department to access the online application form.
- Carefully fill out the application form with accurate information. Ensure you upload scanned copies of your WAEC/NECO/NABTEB and JAMB result and other required documents
Print Acknowledgement Slip:
- Upon successful completion of the application form, review and submit it. The website should generate an acknowledgement slip containing your application details. Print a copy of this acknowledgement slip for your records.
Step 4: POSTUTME EXAMINATION
- Refer to the college website or information brochure for details regarding the entrance examination (date, time, venue). Bring the original copy of your acknowledgement slip to the examination venue on the designated date.
Important Notes: It’s highly recommended to keep a copy of all your application documents (bank teller, receipt, acknowledgement slip) for future reference.
Admission Screening Exercise
All applicants will be required to undergo a screening exercise to qualify for admission.
