OSOPADEC Bursary and Scholarship Scheme 2024: Application Details and Eligibility

The Ondo State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (OSOPADEC) has officially commenced its 2024/2025 Bursary and Scholarship Scheme, offering financial support to eligible students from Ilaje and Ese-Odo Local Government Areas. This initiative aims to promote education among indigenes of these oil-producing regions and alleviate the financial burden of tertiary education.

Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for the OSOPADEC Bursary and Scholarship, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Indigene Status: Must be from Ilaje or Ese-Odo Local Government Areas.
  • Enrollment: Be a full-time student enrolled in a recognized public or private tertiary institution in Nigeria during the 2023/2024 academic session.
  • Inclusions: Both undergraduate and postgraduate students are eligible, including those in the Nigerian Law School with valid recognition from their institutions.
  • Exclusions: Part-time, pre-degree, NTI, diploma, and students from unaccredited institutions are not eligible.

Required Documents

Applicants must submit the following:

  • A recent passport photograph.
  • Proof of Local Government Area of Origin.
  • JAMB Admission Letter.
  • Current school fee receipt for the 2024/2025 academic session.
  • Valid student ID card.

Application Process

To ensure a successful registration, applicants must take not of the following;

  • Bank details provided during registration cannot be changed after submission.
  • Applicants must print out their registration slips, have them signed and stamped by the Dean of Student Affairs or Head of Department.
  • The signed registration slip must be uploaded to complete the application process.

How To Apply

  1. Apply online through the official OSOPADEC websites: osopadecbursaryform.org or osopadec.gov.ng.
  2. Print out the registration slip, have it signed by the Dean of Student Affairs or HOD, and upload the signed slip to complete the application.

Important Notes

  • The deadline for submission of applications is 10th December 2024. Act promptly to complete your application before the portal closes.
  • Ensure accurate bank details, as changes will not be permitted after submission.
  • Print and keep a copy of the registration slip for records.
