Bayelsa State College of Nursing Sciences (BYSCONS), Tombia-Ekpetiama, has started the sale of its Post Basic Nursing/Midwifery admission form for the 2026/2027 academic session. The college also shared the entry requirement, how to apply online, the period for buying the form, and the examination schedule.
Entry Requirement
To apply for the Post Basic Nursing/Midwifery program, an applicant must have:
- RN certificate
- RM certificate
These are the only requirements listed by the college for this programme.
Application Fee and Portal
The application form costs N25,000 only, and the payment is not refundable.
Applicants should begin the process through the BYSCONS admission portal.
How to Apply
Step 1: Pay the Application Fee
Visit the BYSCONS admission portal and pay N25,000 for the application form.
Step 2: Complete and Submit the online Form
After opening the portal:
- Click on “Application Form”
- Select “Application into Post Basic and Community Programmes” as the application type
- Fill in all the required information correctly
When the form is completed, click “Pay & Submit” to send the application.
The college noted that applicants can use any of the available online payment options. After payment is successful, a receipt will be generated. Applicants should print the receipt or slip, preferably in color, and keep it for the examination day.
Step 3: Check Your Application Details
After submitting the form, return to the portal and:
- Click “View Application”
- Enter the Application Number received after submission
- Enter your Last Name
- Click “Check Status”
This will allow you to see your application details and admission status.
Examination Date, Time and Venue
The entrance examination is scheduled as follows:
- Date: 18 July 2026
- Time: 8:00 a.m.
- Venue: College ICT Center
Applicants must bring the original acknowledgement slip to the examination venue.
Form Sales Period
The sale of the form will run between the following dates:
- Start date: 13 April 2026
- Closing date: 10 July 2026
Applicants are expected to complete their payment and submit their forms within this period.
Items to Bring to the Examination
Applicants should come to the exam venue with:
- Original printed acknowledgement slip
- Payment receipt
The college also advised applicants to save their application code electronically in case it is needed later.
