Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for the Borno State Postgraduate Scholarship, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  1. Indigene Status:
    • Applicants must be indigenes of Borno State and provide a Certificate of Origin issued by a recognized authority.
  2. Academic Qualifications:
    • Must possess a minimum of Second Class Upper Division (for master’s applicants) or a master’s degree with a minimum grade of Merit/Distinction (for PhD applicants).
  3. Admission Letter:
    • Candidates must have an admission offer for a full-time postgraduate program from a recognized institution in Nigeria or abroad.
  4. Age Limit:
    • Master’s applicants must not exceed 35 years, while PhD applicants must not be older than 40 years.
