Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for admission into SLU’s part-time degree programs, applicants must meet the following requirements:

1. Educational Qualifications:
   • A minimum of five (5) O’Level credits in relevant subjects, including English Language and Mathematics, obtained in not more than two sittings.
2. Direct Entry (For Applicable Programs):
   • Minimum ‘A’ Level points, NCE, IJMBE, or Diploma qualifications for admission into 200-level.
3. Top-Up Applicants:
   • HND (Credit) or Degree (Third Class) qualifications for admission into 400-level.
4. Employment Status:
   • Candidates should preferably be employed or self-employed to benefit from the flexible schedule.

Duration of Programs

The part-time degree programs are designed to span 4-6 years, depending on the entry level and program of choice.

• 100-level admission: Minimum of five academic sessions.
• 200-level admission: Minimum of four academic sessions.
• 400-level admission: Minimum of two academic sessions.

Application Procedure

Follow the steps below to apply:

1. Visit the University’s Portal:
   • Log on to the official SLU SPACE Portal  and navigate to the Part-Time Admission section.
2. Create an Account:
   • Provide a valid email address and phone number to create an account.
3. Fill Out the Application Form:
   • Complete the online application form with accurate details. Ensure you upload all required documents, including academic transcripts, O’Level results, and recent passport photographs.
4. Pay the Application Fee:
   • The non-refundable application fee can be paid online via the university’s payment portal or at designated banks.
5. Submit the Application:
   • Review your application form for accuracy before submission. Print a copy of the completed form for reference.

Application Deadline

The application portal opens from 26th January 2025, to 26th March 2025. Late applications will not be entertained.

Screening Process

All applicants are required to participate in a screening exercise, which may include document verification and an oral interview. The schedule for the screening will be communicated via the university’s portal and email.
