The Doha Institute for Graduate Studies (DI) in Doha, Qatar, is opening its doors to both Qatari and international students for the 2026–2027 academic year. DI offers fully funded scholarships for both Master’s and PhD programs, providing a transformative opportunity for advanced studies in social sciences, humanities, public administration, and development economics.
Types of Scholarships & Benefits
1. Tamim Scholarship (Merit-Based)

2. Sanad Scholarship (Need-Based)

Eligibility Criteria
- We welcome applications from students of all nationalities and backgrounds around the globe.
- A Bachelor’s Degree Certificate is required for eligibility.
- Students who are in their final year of an undergraduate program may also submit their applications for admission.
- There are no age restrictions for applicants.

PhD Scholarship Structure (Multi-Phase)
For doctoral candidates, the scholarship is structured in phases:
- Phase 1 (Coursework): Covers first two semesters; continuation depends on academic performance.
- Phase 2 (Prospectus Writing): Awarded for one year to students maintaining a GPA of at least 3.5.
- Phase 3 (Dissertation Phase): Offered for two years upon passing a comprehensive exam; extensions possible with approval.
Additionally, full-time PhD recipients often assist with teaching or research (up to 10–15 hours/week) as part of their responsibilities).
