The University of Auckland Top Achiever Scholarship, known locally as the Achiever Scholarship, awards exceptional high school graduates who demonstrate outstanding academic excellence alongside leadership or cultural achievements. It offers:

  • One year of catered accommodation at a University of Auckland hall of residence
  • NZD 5,000 cash ($2,500 per semester) for living expenses.

The University of Auckland Top Achiever Scholarship aims to celebrate and reward students who not only excel academically but also demonstrate remarkable achievements in sports, arts, culture, and leadership.

  • Annual Offering: Up to 250 scholarships are awarded each year

  • Academic performance: NCEA Level 2 & 3 Excellence (typically 80–100+ credits)
