The Federal University of Technology, Owerri has released the details for the 2024 Post-UTME/Direct Entry (DE) screening exercise. Here are the important details regarding the registration process, cut-off mark, and eligibility criteria.
Registration Details
- Registration Period:
- The registration for the Post-UTME screening exercise usually commences a few weeks after the release of the UTME results. Candidates should check the FUTO website for specific dates.
2. Registration Process:
- Visit the FUTO official website (futo.edu.ng).
- Click on the Post-UTME/DE registration portal link.
- Create an account by providing the valid email address and phone number.
- Login to the portal by using the created credentials and fill in the required details.
- Upload a recent passport photograph and other required documents (e.g., O’ Level results)
- Pay the screening fee through the online payment system provided on the portal.
- Print the acknowledgment slip after successful payment and registration.
3. Screening Schedule:
- The schedule for the screening exercise, including the date, time, and venue, will be communicated to the candidates via the FUTO website and their registered email addresses. Candidates are advised to regularly check the portal for updates.
4. Required Documents for the Screening Exercise:
- Printed acknowledgment slip.
- Original and photocopies of UTME result slip.
- Original and photocopies of O’ Level results.
- Original and photocopies of JAMB Direct Entry slip (for DE candidates).
- Original and photocopies of birth certificate or age declaration .
- A valid form of identification (e.g., National ID, Voter’s card, etc.)
Eligibility
- Candidate must score up to 180 in 2024 UTME.
- Must have chosen FUTO as their first choice institution in the 2024 UTME.
- Must have obtained at least five (5) credit passes in relevant subjects including Mathematics and English Language, at not more than two (2) sittings in their O’ Level (WAEC, NECO,GCE,NABTEB).
Direct Entry (DE) Candidates
- Must have chosen FUTO as their first choice institution for Direct Entry
- Must have a minimum of lower credit in National Diploma (ND) or Higher National Diploma (HND) and a credit level pass in relevant O’ Level subjects.
- Must possess at least five (5) passes in relevant subjects including Mathematics and English Language, at not more than two sittings.
Cut-off Mark
The cut-off mark for the FUTO 2024 Post-UTME is set at 180.
Important Notes
- Candidates are advised to ensure that their O’ Level are uploaded in the JAMB portal.
- Any falsification of documents or information will lead to automatic disqualification.
- The use of electronic devices, including mobile phones, during the screening exercise is prohibited.
