FUHSI POST-UTME/DE Screening 2024: Eligibility and Registration

 

The Federal University of Health Sciences, Ila Orangun (FUHSI), is one of Nigeria’s newest institutions dedicated to advancing health sciences education. As part of the admission process for prospective students, FUHSI conducts Post-UTME and Direct Entry (DE) screenings. Below are the essential details on eligibility and the registration process.

Eligibility Criteria

 

1. Post-UTME Candidates:

– JAMB Requirement: Candidates must have participated in the 2024/2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and scored at least 180 points. The specific cut-off mark for each course will be determined by the university.

– O’ Level Requirement: Candidates must possess a minimum of five (5) O’ Level credits in relevant subject. This includes English Language, Mathematics, and three other relevant subjects, in not more than two sittings. Acceptable O’ Level results include WAEC, NECO, GCE, and NABTEB.

– Choice of Institution: Candidates must have selected FUHSI as their first choice in the UTME.

– Change of Institution: Candidates who did not select FUHSI as their first choice can switch on the JAMB portal.

 

2. Direct Entry (DE) Candidates:

– Qualification: DE candidates must possess at least two A’ Level passes in relevant subjects. Or equivalent qualifications such as ND, NCE, or IJMB, with a minimum grade of Upper Credit/Merit.

– O’ Level Requirement: Similar to the Post-UTME criteria, DE candidates must have five (5) O’ Level credits in relevant subjects, including English and Mathematics.

– JAMB DE Form: Candidates must have purchased the JAMB Direct Entry form and chosen FUHSI as their preferred institution.

Registration Process

 

Step 1: Visit the FUHSI Admission Portal:
– Candidates should visit the FUHSI official website and navigate to the admission portal to begin their application process.

Step 2: Create an Account:
– On the admission portal, candidates need to create a personal profile by providing a valid email address and other required information.

Step 3: Payment of Screening Fee:
– A non-refundable screening fee is required for the Post-UTME/DE registration. Payment can be made online via the admission portal using a debit card or through a bank payment option.

Step 4: Complete the Application Form:
– After payment, candidates should fill out the screening application form with accurate information. Which includes personal details, JAMB registration number, O’ Level results, and DE qualifications (for DE candidates).

Step 5: Upload Required Documents:
– Candidates are required to upload scanned copies of their recent passport photograph, O ‘Level results, JAMB result slip, DE qualifications (if applicable), and any other required documents.

Step 6: Submit the Application:
– After ensuring that all information is correct, candidates should submit the application form. A printout of the completed form should be kept as evidence of registration.

Step 7: Print Screening Acknowledgment Slip:
– Upon successful submission, candidates should print the screening acknowledgment slip. This which will serve as a confirmation of registration and may be required during the screening exercise.

Step 8: Screening Exercise:

-Candidates will be notified of the date, time, and venue for the screening exercise via the university’s portal or SMS. It is important to bring all necessary documents to the screening venue as outlined in the acknowledgment slip.

The Post-UTME and Direct Entry screening processes at FUHSI are critical steps for aspiring students seeking admission into this prestigious health sciences institution.
