Benefits
Central European University offers scholarships in Hungary for international students. This is a full scholarship for postgraduate degree programs. Undergraduate students will only have their tuition fees covered. Below are the details:
For Postgraduate Students:
- Up to 100% coverage of tuition fees
- Health insurance
- Monthly Stipend:
- CEU Master’s Excellence Scholarship: 1,000 EUR per month
- CEU Master’s Distinction Scholarship: 750 EUR per month
- CEU Master’s Scholarship: 500 EUR per month
- CEU Doctoral Scholarships: 1,350 EUR per month
For Undergraduate Students:
- A limited number of Partial Tuition Awards are available for excellent applicants.
- This is a merit-based award that may cover up to 50% of tuition fees (up to €4,000 per year).
Eligibility
To apply for the CEU Scholarship in Hungary, you need to meet these requirements:
- Open to all international applicants.
- For a Bachelor’s program, you must have a high school certificate.
- For a Master’s program, you need an Undergraduate Degree Certificate/Transcript.
- For a Doctoral program, you must have a Master’s Degree.
- Proof of English Language Proficiency is needed.

- Recommendation Letters
- Research Proposal (for graduate programs)

How to Apply
You can apply for the Central European University Scholarships in Hungary through an Online Application System.
If you want to apply and meet the requirements for the CEU Scholarships 2026, here’s what you need to do:
- Click the application link to start your application for CEU programs.
- If you submit your application by February 4, 2026, it will be reviewed by the Admissions Office. They will either send it on to the academic programs for evaluation or reject it for specific reasons.
- Academic departments will check the applications and decide which ones are the best based on their merits. Some departments may also have extra tests or interviews for candidates they are considering.
- Acceptance offers, including any financial aid, will be posted on the Applicant Portal.
