This notice serves to inform all interested candidates and members of the public that the National Universities Commission (NUC) has granted approval for programs within the faculties listed, at Benue State University, beginning from the 2024/2025 academic session.
In light of this development, the University kindly requests individuals who participated in the 2024 JAMB UTME with the required subjects combination and aggregate score, and who wish to pursue any of the new programs, to visit the nearest JAMB CBT office to change their institution of choice to Benue State University (as the primary institution) and select their preferred program. Additionally, candidates who originally selected Benue State University as their primary institution can also modify their program of study to any of those listed below:
FACULTY OF COMMUNICATION AND MEDIA STUDIES
- B.Sc Advertising
- B.Sc Broadcasting
- B.Sc Development Communication Studies
- Journalism and Media Studies
- B.Sc Public Relations
- B.Sc Strategic Communications
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
- To be considered for admission, candidates must have a minimum of 5 O’ Level credits, which should include English Language, Mathematics, Literature in English, and two other subjects, all obtained in not more than two sittings.
- For the UTME subjects combination, candidates should take Use of English and any other Arts or Social Science subjects.
FACULTY OF ARCHITECTURE
- B.Sc Architecture
- B.Sc Landscape Architecture
- B.Sc Interior Design
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
- Applicants must have obtained 5 O’ Level credits, including Mathematics, English Language, Physics, and two of the following: Chemistry, Biology, Technical Drawing, Fine Arts, Geography, or Economics, all achieved in not more than two sittings.
- For the UTME subjects combination, candidates should select Use of English, Mathematics, Physics, and any one of Chemistry, Geography, Fine Arts, or Technical Drawing.

Please take note that interested candidates have until Saturday, 21st September, 2024 to make these changes in preparation for the 2024/2025 academic year’s admission exercise, which will commence in the same month.
