Apply for Master’s & PhD Programs in Healthcare at UNIABUJA

The University of Abuja (UNIABUJA) is now accepting applications for its 2024/2025 postgraduate and professional diploma programs in healthcare. These programs are offered through the Centre for Health Systems Support and Development under the Faculty of Nursing and Allied Health Sciences.

Admission Requirements:

  • Five O’Level credit passes, including English, Mathematics, Physics, Biology, and Chemistry.
  • A Bachelor’s degree with at least a Second Class Lower (2:2) in Allied Health Sciences, Biological Science, or Biomedical Sciences (e.g., Microbiology, Biochemistry, Medical Laboratory Science, Nursing).
  • Upper credit pass in a relevant Postgraduate Diploma may be considered.
  • For Nursing programmes, a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing and registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria are required.
  • Candidates applying for a Master’s in Public Health must select an area of concentration.

Program Duration:

  • Doctoral (Full-time): Minimum 36 months, maximum 72 months.
  • Doctoral (Part-time): Minimum 60 months, maximum 96 months.
  • Master’s (Full-time): Minimum 21 months, maximum 30 months.
  • Master’s in Community Health (Full-time): Minimum 12 months, maximum 18 months.
  • Part-time Master’s: Minimum 21 months, maximum 24 months.
  • Postgraduate Diploma (Full-time): Minimum 12 months, maximum 18 months.

Application Process:

  1. Visit the UNIABUJA portal at https://portal.uniabuja.edu.ng.
  2. Click on “Click here to apply.”
  3. On the left pane, select “Postgraduate.”
  4. Enter the requested details (surname, first name, other name, email, and phone number) and click “Next.”
  5. On the payment preview page, click on “Generate RRR.”
  6. Click “Make payment” and you will be redirected to the Remita platform; enter your card details (MasterCard or Visa Card).
  7. After a successful payment, you will be redirected back to the portal, an application number will be generated, and you will be logged out.
  8. Click on “Main Login,” enter the generated application number and surname as the password to continue the application process.

Application Fee and Deadline:

  • Application Fee: ₦30,000 (non-refundable).
  • Payment Method: Through REMITA on the University of Abuja Integrated Portal at https://portal.uniabuja.edu.ng.
  • Application Deadline: Tuesday, 30th April 2025.
