The Edo State College of Nursing Sciences is pleased to announce the commencement of the sale of admission forms for the 2024/2025 academic session. Aspiring candidates interested in pursuing a career in nursing are encouraged to apply for admission into the institution’s various nursing programs.

Available Programs/Duration

The following programs are available for the 2024/2025 academic session:

1. Basic Midwifery Programme (3 Years)
2. Community Nursing (2 Years)
3. Community Midwifery (2 Years)
4. HND Public Health Nursing (2 Years)
5. Post Basic Midwifery (18 Months)
6. Post Basic Nursing (18 Months)

Admission Requirements

Applicants are required to meet the following criteria to be eligible for admission:

1. Basic Midwifery, Community Nursing, and Community Midwifery:
   • A minimum of five (5) credits in O’level results (WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB) at not more than two sittings. Subjects must include English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.
   • No awaiting result.
   • Minimum age of 17 years at the time of application.
   • Candidates must be physically and mentally fit to undertake the rigorous training involved in nursing education.
2. HND Public Health Nursing, Post Basic Midwifery, and Post Basic Nursing:
   • WAEC/NECO or NABTEB with at least five credits in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology in no more than two sittings.
   • Applicants must be licensed with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria as a Registered Nurse/Midwife.

Application Process

Interested candidates should follow these steps to apply:

2. Create an Account:
   • Click on the “Admissions” tab and create an account by providing a valid email address and phone number.
3. Fill Out the Application Form:
   • Complete the online application form with accurate personal and academic details.
4. Upload Supporting Documents:
   • Upload scanned copies of required documents, including O’level results, birth certificate, and recent passport photograph.
5. Pay the Application Fee:
   • Make a non-refundable application fee payment through the provided payment platform.
6. Submit Application:
   • Review all information entered before submitting the application form.
7. Print Acknowledgement Slip:
   • Print and retain a copy of the acknowledgment slip for reference.

Screening and Admission Process

• Entrance Examination: Shortlisted candidates will be required to sit for an entrance examination. The date and venue for the examination will be communicated via the college’s portal.
• Interview: Successful candidates will proceed to the interview stage.
• Final Admission: Admission will be based on the candidate’s performance in the entrance examination, interview, and fulfillment of all eligibility criteria.
