Federal University of Technology Ikot Abasi (FUTIA) Releases Supplementary Admission Form for 2024/2025 Academic Session

The Federal University of Technology Ikot Abasi (FUTIA) has announced the release of its supplementary admission form for the 2024/2025 academic session. This supplementary admission process provides an opportunity for eligible candidates who were not admitted in the initial round to apply for available spaces in various undergraduate programs.

Overview of the FUTIA Supplementary Admission

The supplementary admission process allows FUTIA to admit more qualified candidates, especially into programs that may still have available slots after the primary admission process. The university’s supplementary form is open to candidates who meet the eligibility criteria and are interested in pursuing degrees in the fields of science, engineering, technology, and related disciplines.

Eligibility Criteria for the Supplementary Admission

To apply for the supplementary admission, candidates must satisfy the following requirements:

  1. Participation in the 2024 Post-UTME Screening: Only candidates who participated in the 2024 FUTIA Post-UTME screening exercise and scored above the minimum cut-off mark for their chosen course are eligible.
  2. Minimum JAMB and O’Level Requirements: Candidates should meet the minimum JAMB score (160) required for admission, and possess at least five credit passes in O’Level subjects, including English Language and Mathematics, as required by their chosen program.
  3. First Choice of Institution: Candidates who chose FUTIA as their first choice in JAMB registration will be given priority for the supplementary admission.
  4. Acceptance of Course Change: Some candidates may be required to accept a change of course if there are limited spaces in their initially chosen program but available slots in related fields.

How to Apply for the FUTIA Supplementary Admission

Eligible candidates are required to follow the steps below to complete their application:

  1. Visit http://portal.futia.edu.ng and click on “Click here to apply”
  2. Click Undergraduate link at the top menu bar
  3. Enter your JAMB Registration Number and Click on “Continue”
  4. Complete the basic information page (Please note: Enter only valid phone number and email address) and click next.
  5. On the payment review page, click on “Make Payment” and this will take you to the payment page where you can provide your card detail.
  6. Enter ATM card (MasterCard, Visa or Verve) number and other details as appropriate and submit
  7. Enter “OTP code” sent to your phone and click continue to complete your payment.
  8. After a successful payment, click on “Main login” on the portal, enter your Jamb registration number and Surname as password
  9. Click on “Login” button and complete your registration.
  10. Ensure you print completed registration form and payment receipt.

Admission Process and Selection Criteria

The admission process for the supplementary form will be based on merit, taking into account each candidate’s JAMB score, Post-UTME score, and O’Level results. Applicants who meet the set cut-off marks and fulfill all admission criteria will be considered for admission based on the availability of spaces in their chosen or alternative programs.

  • Submit Accurate Information: Errors or discrepancies in the application may result in disqualification, so candidates should confirm the accuracy of all information provided.
  • Check for Regular Updates: Candidates are advised to frequently check the FUTIA website for updates regarding the admission process, announcements, and supplementary admission list releases.

NOTICE!

There would be a grace period of four (4) weeks within which all approved admissions must be accepted by candidates.

Candidates with awaiting results may apply but must ensure that their O’Level (WAEC/NECO) results are uploaded appropriately at the JAMB Portal (CAPS) in a COMPUTER-BASED TEST (CBT) CENTRE approved by JAMB.
