The Federal University of Technology Akure (FUTA), in partnership with the United Nations African Regional Centre for Space Science and Technology Education in English (UN-ARCSSTE-E), is inviting applications for its Master of Technology (M.Tech) program in Space Science and Technology for the 2024/2025 academic session. This program offers specialized courses in Remote Sensing and Geographic Information Systems (GIS), as well as Satellite Communications.

Admission Requirements:
- Applicants should possess at least a Second Class Lower degree in any discipline, preferably in the sciences, from a recognized university.
- Completion of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) program or possession of an exemption certificate is mandatory.
- Holders of Higher National Diploma (HND) with an Upper Credit in a relevant Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) from a reputable institution may also be considered.

- Payment Structure: A minimum of 60% of the tuition fee is required before the commencement of lectures, with the remaining balance payable before the end of the first semester.
Graduation Requirements
To qualify for graduation, a student must:
- Score at least 50% in coursework and the M.Tech thesis project as per FUTA postgraduate regulations.
- Complete 44 course units for Satellite Communication and Basic Space Physics, 42 course units for Satellite Meteorology, and 48 course units for Remote Sensing and GIS.
- Present two thesis seminars (proposal and final).
- Complete and defend a research thesis through an oral examination.
