JAMB Change of Course/Institution/Data Correction 2025

The JAMB Change of Course/Institution/Data Correction service is a vital option for candidates looking to realign their academic path—whether due to UTME performance, corrected data, or a better course alignment.

What is JAMB Change of Course/Institution?

This is a service provided by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) for candidates who wish to:

  • Switch their course of study, or
  • Change their first-choice tertiary institution, or
  • Make corrections to key biographical data (name, date of birth, gender, state/LGA).

Ideal for students whose UTME results don’t match their goals, those repositioning after post-UTME, or candidates fixing errors in their registration details.

Cost & Payment Method

  • JAMB’s official fee: ₦2,500
  • Additional service charge (₦500–₦1,000) may apply if using a CBT/internet café.
  • Some sources indicate ₦3,500 total, inclusive of e-pin fees.

How to Apply (Online via e-Facility Portal)

  1. Go to e‑Facility portal (portal.jamb.gov.ng/efacility)
  2. Log in (or create profile with email, phone, state/LGA, password)
  3. Select “Correction of Data” → choose “Change of Course/Institution”
  4. A Transaction ID is generated—save or note it
  5. Proceed with payment via ATM, Remita, USSD, or online banking
  6. Upon payment confirmation, enter exam year and JAMB reg. number
  7. Select new course and/or institution from available options
  8. Submit and you’ll receive confirmation and transaction details via email/SMS

  • You can make up to two changes in total per session .
  • Ensure your UTME subject combination matches the new course requirements .
  • Double-check your selection before submitting—changes aren’t editable once submitted .

What About Physical Centers?

You can also perform the exercise at any accredited JAMB CBT center if you prefer in-person assistance. The process and fees are the same.
