Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board Announces Release of 2026 UTME Mock Exam Results

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced the release of the results for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) mock test.

Candidates who took part in the mock exam can now check their results using the SMS method provided by the Board. Those who sat for the test only need to send a message and wait for the reply that contains their result.

How to check the Result

To check the result, a candidate should send an SMS with the word “MOCKRESULT” written as one word to 55019 or 66019.

The message must be sent using the same phone number used during JAMB registration. The line should also have at least ₦50 airtime for the message to go through.

Number of candidates who registered and sat for the mock

According to JAMB, 224,597 candidates registered for the mock examination.

Out of this number, 152,586 candidates were able to sit for the test in 989 Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres across the country.

CBT centers removed after the mock

After the mock exam, the Board removed over 20 CBT centres from its list. These centres were delisted because of technical problems and other issues noticed during the exercise.

Warning

JAMB also warned candidates to stay away from fraudsters. The Board said some people on WhatsApp claim they can change or increase examination scores.

The Board explained that such actions are illegal. Anyone caught may face serious punishment, including cancellation of registration or withdrawal of results.

Date for the main 2026 UTME

JAMB reminded candidates that the main 2026 UTME will start on Thursday, 16 April 2026.
