Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife, has announced the release of its admission list for the 2024/2025 academic session. This eagerly awaited list includes the names of candidates who have been granted provisional admission into various undergraduate programs at the university. Candidates who applied to OAU and participated in the post-UTME screening exercise are encouraged to check their admission status.
How to Check OAU Admission Status on JAMB CAPS
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) Central Admission Processing System (CAPS) allows candidates to confirm their admission status for any Nigerian university, including OAU. Follow these steps to check your status:
Step 1: Visit the JAMB e-Facility Portal
- Go to https://efacility.jamb.gov.ng.
- Log in with your JAMB registration email and password.
Step 2: Access Admission Status
- On the homepage, click “Check Admission Status.”
- Select “Access my CAPS” to open the CAPS dashboard.
Step 3: Check Your Admission Status
- In the CAPS dashboard, click on the “Admission Status” tab.
- If offered admission, your admission details will be displayed, along with “Accept” and “Reject” buttons.
Important: Once you accept the admission offer on JAMB CAPS, it cannot be undone. If you reject the offer, it will be forfeited, and the system may offer the slot to another candidate.
Additional Steps for Admitted Candidates
Successful candidates should also visit OAU’s official website (https://oauife.edu.ng) for further instructions on the next steps, such as payment of acceptance fees, registration procedures, and clearance documentation. It’s essential to follow OAU’s specific requirements to complete the admission process.
If You’re Not Admitted Yet
If your status shows “Not Admitted,” don’t be discouraged, as OAU may release additional admission lists. Continue checking both JAMB CAPS and the OAU portal regularly for updates.
