The University of Sheffield offers the Undergraduate Merit Scholarship for international students who want to study in the UK starting from the 2026/27 academic year. You can apply for this scholarship along with other scholarships from your Department or Faculty, as long as you are not a sponsored student.
If you get selected for this scholarship, you will definitely receive it in your first year if you meet the eligibility and award criteria. You can keep receiving the scholarship in the following years as long as you score 60% or more and earn at least 120 credits from the previous year.
Benefits
- The scholarship is worth £10,000 for tuition fees for any undergraduate degree program starting in autumn 2026.
Eligibility
- Your program must start at the University of Sheffield in autumn 2026.
- You need to have an offer for a full course at the University of Sheffield. All undergraduate courses are eligible, except Medicine (A100/A101) and Dentistry (A200).
- You must pay your own fees and be eligible for overseas tuition fees.
- You cannot be a sponsored student.
- You must enter the University of Sheffield in either your first or second year of the degree program.
- Note that all MArch programs are considered postgraduate taught programs and cannot apply for this or any other undergraduate scholarship.
