The Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) has started a big program to help train over 10,000 young Nigerians in skills that are needed for jobs in the oil and gas industry. This training program, called the Oil and Gas Field Readiness Training Program, aims to get graduates and technicians ready for jobs in new projects because of the recent increase in investments in Nigeria’s energy sector.

The NCDMB is working with at least three service companies in each skill area to provide hands-on experience and make sure the participants can find jobs after they finish the training.

Benefits

The program will last for two to three years and will include classroom lessons, lab work, certification, and at least six months of on-the-job training with top service companies.
Participants will also get medical check-ups, monthly payments, safety gear, and insurance coverage.

Eligibility

To join the NCDMB Oil and Gas Field Readiness Training, you need to:

Be a Nigerian
Be younger than 35 years
Have an OND, HND, or BSc in Engineering, Sciences, Technology, or similar fields.
