University of Ilorin (UNILORIN) JUPEB Admission Form for 2024/2025 Academic Session

The University of Ilorin (UNILORIN) invites qualified candidates to apply for the Joint Universities Preliminary Examinations Board (JUPEB) program for the 2024/2025 academic session. This program provides a one-year intensive study designed to prepare students for direct entry admission into 200-level degree programs at UNILORIN and other Nigerian universities that accept the JUPEB certificate.

 About the JUPEB Program

The JUPEB program is an alternative admission pathway for candidates who may not have gained admission through the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME). It is equivalent to the A-Level qualification and enables successful candidates to apply for direct entry admission into the second year of various undergraduate programs.

 Admission Requirements

  1. To be eligible for the UNILORIN JUPEB program, applicants must:
    Have a minimum of five (5) O’ Level credits in subjects relevant to their desired course of study. These credits must be obtained in not more than two sittings and should include English Language and Mathematics (depending on the course requirements).
  2. Meet the specific subject requirements for their desired courses, as outlined by the university.
  3. All applicants are expected to register for a combination of 3 subjects out of the 16 subjects. These 3 subjects must be according to their proposed course of study in the university.
  4. Candidates awaiting results can also apply for the UNILORIN JUBEP Program.

 Program Duration

The program runs for one academic year (approximately 9 to 12 months), during which students will undergo rigorous teaching and preparation in three subject combinations relevant to their intended university courses.

 Application Procedure

  1. Candidates interested in the 2024/2025 UNILORIN JUPEB program should follow the steps below to apply:
    Visit the official UNILORIN JUPEB portal at https://portal.unilorin.edu.ng/applicant/JUPEB
  2.  Create a user profile by providing a valid email address and phone number.
  3.  Complete the online application form with personal details and academic qualifications.
  4. Pay the non-refundable application fee (to be announced) through the university’s online payment portal.
  5.  Upload the required documents, including O’Level results, birth certificate, and passport photograph.
  6.  Submit the completed application form and print out a copy for future reference.

NOTE: Lecture commences September, 2024.
