FUTA Announces 34th & 35th Combined Convocation Ceremonies

The Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA), has officially announced its 34th and 35th combined convocation ceremonies. The events are set to celebrate the achievements of graduates from the 2021/2022 and 2022/2023 academic sessions and will include the conferment of degrees, diplomas, Master’s, Doctorate, and honorary awards.

Date and Venue

The convocation ceremonies are scheduled to hold from Friday, 22nd November, 2024 with the main convocation event taking place on Saturday, 30th November, 2024. All activities will be hosted at the FUTA main campus in Akure, Ondo State.

Highlights of the Ceremonies

The convocation week will feature a variety of academic, cultural, and celebratory activities, including:

  1. Convocation Lecture: A distinguished guest speaker will deliver the convocation lecture, addressing a topic of national or global importance.
  2. Award of Degrees: Graduands from undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs will receive their certificates.
  3. Honorary Doctorates: FUTA will confer honorary degrees on eminent personalities in recognition of their contributions to society and academia.

Graduands and Guests

Instructions for Graduands

  • Graduands must be seated at the convocation venue at least one hour before the event starts.
