Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK), Awka, has announced the commencement of physical/online clearance and registration for all newly admitted students for the 2024/2025 academic session. This critical process ensures that admitted candidates confirm their admission, complete necessary documentation, and officially join the university community.
Physical Clearance Schedule
The physical clearance exercise will begin on Monday, 18th November, 2024 and will take place at the various faculties on UNIZIK’s main campus and satellite campuses. Newly admitted students are advised to visit their designated faculty offices within the stipulated time to complete their clearance process. See also the attached image for the full schedule.

All newly admitted candidates are by this notice requested to quickly check and accept their admissions on the UNIZIK portal and proceed to the Admissions Unit for their Physical/online clearance and registration. All are advised to stick to schedule strictly to avoid being disappointed by our refusal to attend to you. Serving you better is our utmost priority.
Requirements for Physical Clearance
Students must present the following documents during the clearance exercise:
- UNIZIK Admission Letter: A copy of the admission letter printed from the university portal.
- JAMB Admission Letter: A copy of the admission letter obtained from the JAMB CAPS portal.
- JAMB Result Slip
- Original O’Level Results: WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB certificates or online results printouts (with the scratch card used for verification).
- JAMB Result Slip: The original and a photocopy of the UTME result slip.
- Birth Certificate/Age Declaration: An official document certifying the candidate’s date of birth.
- Local Government Identification: A certificate of origin from the candidate’s local government area.
- Evidence of Payment of Acceptance Fee: A receipt confirming the payment of the non-refundable acceptance fee.
- Passport Photographs: At least four recent passport-sized photographs.
Registration Process
After completing the physical clearance, students will proceed with the registration process. This includes:
- Course Registration: Students will log in to the university portal to register for their courses for the semester.
- Payment of Fees: Newly admitted students are required to pay their school fees promptly to avoid any delay in the registration process.
- Medical Screening: Students must complete their medical screening at the university’s health center.
