Anchor University Lagos (AUL) is now accepting applications for the 2025/2026 JUPEB (Joint Universities Preliminary Examination Board) program. This one-year advanced-level program allows successful candidates to gain direct entry admission into 200-level university courses, bypassing the UTME route.

What Is JUPEB?

JUPEB, the Joint Universities Preliminary Examinations Board, is a one-year A-Level equivalent program recognized across Nigeria and select foreign universities. It enables candidates to gain direct 200-level admission based on performance in three chosen subjects plus General Studies, bypassing the need to retake UTME/JAMB.

    • Economics, Government, Mathematics (ECO-GOVT-MTH)
    • Economics, Government, Christian Religious Studies (ECO-GOVT-CRS)
    • Economics, Government, Literature in English (ECO-GOVT-LIT)
  • Arts
    • Literature in English, Christian Religious Studies, Government (LIT-CRS-GOV)

Admission Requirements

To be eligible for Anchor University’s JUPEB program:

  1. Minimum of five credits in O’Level (WAEC/NECO) relevant subjects, including English.
  2. Maximum of two sittings for O’Level results.
  3. Register for the same course in both JAMB (UTME/Direct Entry) and the AUL JUPEB program.
  4. No age restriction applies.

Duration & Certification

Duration: Runs for one academic session (two semesters).

Assessment: Final exams in chosen subjects and General Studies.

Certification: Grades A–F awarded for each subject, qualifying you for direct university entry

How to Apply

  1. Visit the AUL’s official portal.
  2. Click Apply, then pre-register with a valid email and secure password.
  3. Confirm account via activation email.
  4. Log in to complete the application steps.
  5. Pay the non-refundable application fee online.
  6. Upload/enter O’Level results and print your application summary.
  7. Track your Application Number for future logins.
  8. Monitor email for screening invitation details.
