University of Lagos (UNILAG) JUPEB Admission Form, 2025/2026 Session

The University of Lagos (UNILAG) has officially commenced the sale of application forms for its School of Foundation Studies (formerly known as Foundation Programs) for the 2025/2026 academic session. This intensive one-year program, aligned with the Joint Universities Preliminary Examinations Board (JUPEB) curriculum, offers students a pathway to gain Direct Entry admission into 200-level undergraduate programs at UNILAG or partner universities both in Nigeria and abroad.

Application Timeline

  • Application Start Date: Monday, May 26, 2025
  • Application Deadline: Friday, August 15, 2025
  • Entrance Examination Date: Saturday, August 30, 2025
  • Examination Venue: Distance Learning Institute (DLI), University of Lagos
  • Type: Computer-Based Test
  • Questions: 85 total
    • 20 each in Maths and English
    • 15 each in your 3 chosen subjects
  • Duration: 45 minutes
  • If you choose Maths in your subject combo, you’ll write Further Maths in the exam

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • O’Level Requirements: A minimum of five (5) credit passes in relevant subjects, including English Language and Mathematics, obtained in not more than two sittings in SSCE/GCE/NECO.
  • Make sure these results are ready before registration

Program Structure

  • Non-Residential: The program is strictly non-residential.
  • Facilities: Currently, there are no provisions for visually impaired candidates.

Application Procedure

  1. Go to applications.unilag.edu.ng and click on School of Foundation Studies.
  2. Fill the pre-application form to get a Payment Reference Number (PRN). Use your correct names as shown on your NIN slip.
  3. Pay ₦35,000 (excluding bank charges) at any commercial bank using your PRN.
  4. Log back in with your PRN and surname (lowercase) to complete the application.
  5. Print two copies of your filled form.
  6. Your exam pass will be sent to your email a week before the test. Print and keep it.

Important Notes

  • Preparation: Candidates are advised to prepare adequately for the entrance examination scheduled for August 30, 2025.
  • Getting good scores in JUPEB doesn’t guarantee admission into your first-choice course. Space is limited.
  • UNILAG might use other screening methods if there are more qualified candidates than available slots.
  • The school has a zero-tolerance policy on exam malpractice, cultism, drug abuse, sexual harassment, and indecent dressing.
