The ECOWAS Immersion Internship Program 2026 (also termed the Young Graduate Immersion Program) is a one-year, non-renewable professional internship aimed at equipping young graduates from ECOWAS member states with practical experience and promoting regional integration. Interns will be placed in ECOWAS institutions, agencies, departments, or resident representations.

Specifically, the program seeks to enhance employability, deepen understanding of ECOWAS operations, and empower youth by integrating them into the implementation of regional initiatives.

Who Should Apply?

This program targets young graduates aged 18 to 32 years old who are nationals of ECOWAS member states, including Benin, Cabo Verde, Côte d’Ivoire, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Liberia, Nigeria, Senegal, Sierra Leone, and Togo.

Applicants must hold at least a Bachelor’s degree—or higher (Master’s, Doctorate, or equivalent).
