The University of Ottawa is happy to share that it is offering International English Scholarships for new students in undergraduate programs taught in English. There are two scholarships available: the International English Admission Scholarship and the International English Academic Excellence Scholarship.
Students who qualify will get these scholarships automatically when they enroll, which will go directly towards their tuition fees.
Benefits
This scholarship is for new students. It can give up to $70,000 over four years to help pay for university tuition.
The amounts are in Canadian dollars. You can keep the scholarship for up to 12 terms if you meet the requirements.
Eligibility
- You must be an international student with a valid study permit.
- You need to be newly admitted for the Winter 2026 term or later in an approved English-language undergraduate program in one of the following areas: Arts, Engineering, Health Sciences, Science, Social Sciences, or the Telfer School of Management.
- You should have an admission average of at least 80%.
- You cannot enroll in the French immersion program.
- You must be enrolled full-time.

If you want to apply;.
- First, you need to apply for a program in Arts, Engineering, Health Sciences, Science, Social Sciences, or the Telfer School of Management.
- After you apply and send all the needed documents, you will automatically be considered for the scholarship.
- You don’t have to do anything extra—if you qualify, you will be notified when you get your admission.
