The Shopify Dev Degree Scholarship Program is offered through a partnership with three top universities in Canada: Carleton University, York University, and Dominican University. The Dev Degree allows you to study Computer Science while getting real work experience at Shopify. It is a special program designed to help you build strong skills and confidence for a career in software engineering.
Benefits
- The Dev Degree is a remote program, so you study and work online. There may be times when you meet in person, but your main learning will be from home.
- Shopify will pay your tuition, give you a competitive salary, and offer vacation time. Altogether, this support is worth over $160,000 CAD.
- Depending on the university you attend, you will join a Shopify Engineering team after your first 4 months (York University) or 8 months (Carleton University).
- You will earn academic credits for the work you do at Shopify and graduate with a full Computer Science degree in 3–4 years, along with 3,800+ hours of real work experience.
- Students take about three courses on campus each term and spend around 25 hours per week working with Shopify.
