Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma, has announced the sale of forms for its Interim Joint Matriculation Board Examination (IJMB) program for the 2026/2027 academic session. The university is inviting qualified candidates to apply.
The Interim Joint Matriculation Board (IJMB) is a national program approved by the Federal Government of Nigeria and recognized by the National Universities Commission as an Advanced Level qualification for admission into universities.
Students admitted into the program will choose three subjects that match their desired course of study. After completing the program, successful candidates may gain Direct Entry admission into 200 level at Ambrose Alli University or other universities in Nigeria. Some foreign universities also accept the IJMB certificate for admission.
Admission Requirements
Candidates who want to apply must have at least five credit passes in not more than two sittings in any of the following examinations:
- SSCE
- WASCE
- GCE O-Level
- NECO
- NABTEB
The required credits must include:
- English Language
- Mathematics
- At least three other subjects related to the chosen course of study
Duration of the Program
The IJMB programme runs for twelve months.
The twelve months are divided into two academic sessions.

How to Apply
Applicants should begin their application through the AAU IJMB application registration portal.
- Visit the application registration page and click “Register for Application.”
- Fill in all the required information. Fields marked with “*” must be completed.
- An email will be sent immediately to the address provided.
- Applicants should use a personal email address, not a shared or cybercafé email.
- Open the email to get the system-generated ID and password.
- Go to the AAU portal and click “Login” at the top right corner.
- Enter the username and password received in the email.
- Click “Edit Application Record,” complete the form, and upload a passport photograph.
How to Pay for the Form
Payment is made online through the portal after logging in.
- Go to the AAU login page.
- Enter the username and password sent to your email.
- Click “Edit Application Record” to continue to payment.
- Scroll to the bottom of the page and click “Add Online Payment Ticket.”
- Click on the Payment ID created.
- Select “CollegePAY” at the top of the page.
- Check the payment details and click “Submit” to pay through the Interswitch payment gateway.
Final Step After Payment
After the payment is confirmed, applicants should click “Submit” to complete the application.
They should also print the application slip and keep it for reference.
