ATBU Notice for Graduates on Collection of Statement of Results

The Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University (ATBU), located in Bauchi, has issued an important notice to all recent graduates regarding the collection of their statements of results. The university management has made necessary arrangements to streamline the process, ensuring that all eligible graduates can promptly obtain their statements for further academic or professional use.

Collection Process and Guidelines

The collection of statements of results is scheduled to begin on Monday, 11th November, 2024 at the university’s designated collection center, which is usually the Academic Affairs Division. Graduates are encouraged to visit the ATBU campus during the specified working hours, typically between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., to collect their documents.

In order to make the process efficient and avoid delays, ATBU has issued a few important guidelines for graduates:

  1. Document Requirements: Graduates must present a valid means of identification, such as a national ID card, voter’s card, driver’s license, or international passport. Additionally, a copy of the graduate’s clearance form or final-year clearance slip should be provided.
  2. Authorized Proxy: Graduates who are unable to collect their statements of results in person may authorize someone to collect it on their behalf. The authorized person must bring a letter of authorization signed by the graduate, a valid ID, and a copy of the graduate’s identification.
  3. Payment Receipts: A receipt confirming payment of all required fees, including any graduation or result-processing fees, must be presented at the collection point. Graduates are advised to ensure they have cleared all outstanding fees to avoid delays in the process.
  4. Compliance with Health Protocols: In line with health and safety regulations, graduates are expected to comply with any health protocols in place at the collection center.

Importance of Collecting Statements of Results

The statement of result is a crucial document for graduates, as it serves as an interim academic record that can be used for various purposes, such as job applications, further studies, and professional certifications. It verifies the graduate’s successful completion of their academic program and provides essential details, including the degree awarded, the classification, and the date of graduation.

Support for Graduates

ATBU’s Academic Affairs Division is available to assist graduates who may encounter challenges or require additional information during the collection process. Graduates are encouraged to contact the university’s helpdesk or visit the ATBU website for updates and inquiries related to the statement of results.

Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University is committed to supporting its graduates as they transition from the academic environment into their professional journeys. The university urges all graduates to follow the provided guidelines closely to ensure a smooth and timely collection process. By taking prompt action, ATBU graduates can obtain their statements of results and begin pursuing opportunities that align with their educational achievements.

We congratulate you once again on your academic achievements and wish you the very best in your future endeavors.
