University of Uyo (UNIUYO) Faculty of Agriculture Directs Students to Update Academic Records

The Faculty of Agriculture at University of Uyo (UNIUYO) has issued an important directive requiring all students in the faculty to update their academic records and course registrations before the end of the ongoing examination period.

The announcement was made through an internal memorandum addressed to students of the faculty.

Official Memorandum from the Dean

According to the memorandum signed by the Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, Etim O. Effiong, all students must ensure that their academic records are accurate and fully updated. This includes verifying and confirming both current and past course registrations to ensure that they are correctly documented in the faculty’s records.

The Dean emphasized that students must submit or verify their records with the Faculty Records Unit, which has been assigned the responsibility of reviewing, verifying, and completing any pending updates before the examination period comes to an end.

Reason for the Directive

The directive comes after recent updates and adjustments were made to the university’s student portal, particularly concerning the listing and documentation of registered courses. As a result, the faculty deemed it necessary for students to confirm that all their registered courses—both from previous semesters and the current academic session—are correctly reflected in the system.

This verification process is intended to prevent discrepancies that may affect students’ academic records or results in the future.

Importance of Compliance

The Faculty of Agriculture stressed that compliance with this directive is mandatory for all students within the faculty. Failure to update academic records and course registrations may lead to complications during or after examinations, including possible issues with result processing or academic documentation.

Students have therefore been strongly advised to treat the notice with urgency and visit the Faculty Records Unit as soon as possible to ensure that their records are properly updated within the stipulated timeframe.
