The National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) has started the clearance process for its 2026 convocation ceremony. Graduating students are required to make two separate payments using the approved payment methods provided by the school.
Convocation fee
The convocation fee is ₦55,000 (Fifty-Five Thousand Naira).
According to NOUN, this payment must be made through REMITA. This is the only approved platform for paying the convocation charge, and graduands are expected to follow this method when making the payment.
Alumni Fee and How to Pay
Graduands are also required to pay an alumni fee of ₦10,000 (Ten Thousand Naira).
This payment must be made by bank deposit, not online transfer. After paying, candidates should collect the bank teller and keep it safe, as it will serve as proof of payment during the clearance process.
Bank Transfers are not Accepted
The university has clearly stated that bank transfers are not allowed for the alumni fee. Payment methods such as OPay, PalmPay, and other transfers should not be used.
Graduands should ensure they pay directly through bank deposit to avoid problems during clearance.
Alumni Fee Account Details
The alumni fee should be paid into the following account:
- Account Name: National Open University of Nigeria Alumni Association
- Bank: Access Bank Plc
- Account Number: 1905150942
Important Points for Graduands
For the 2026 convocation clearance, students should carefully follow the payment instructions. The ₦55,000 convocation fee must be paid through REMITA, while the ₦10,000 alumni fee must be paid through bank deposit into the provided Access Bank account.
Graduands are also advised to keep their bank teller after payment, as it will be required as evidence during the clearance process.
