FUOYE Clarification on ” No School Fees, No Lecture” Policy

It has come to our attention that claims have been circulating on social media  that Federal University, Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE) is requiring new students to present tuition fee receipts before being allowed entry to lecture halls. We wish to clarify that this information is misleading and should be disregarded by the public. FUOYE strives to provide an inclusive and supportive learning environment for all students. We have never adopted a policy of requiring presentation of tuition fee receipts as a condition of admission to lectures. Our primary focus is to ensure that all students have access to quality education without unnecessary barriers.

As it is in the best interest of academic tracking and resource allocation, we encourage all students to complete their registration, including enrollment in required courses. However, access to lecture halls is not dependent on the presentation of a fee receipt. Students must enroll in a course before attending lectures. In order to proceed with course registration, students must have paid tuition fees. Completing these steps is important to facilitate academic tracking and resource allocation.

How can I take a class that I have not registered for? This policy is in the best interest of the students. Please pay your tuition fees and complete your course registration on time.

We have a very caring VC who is committed to doing everything right to support  students and put their welfare first. Just last week, the university management led by a professor Sunday Abayomi Fassina, in Abuja, together with NEL Fund officials, SSA and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, organized and hosted an awareness program on NEL Fund loan opportunities and other university opportunities for needy students, and spoke on student engagement, national NANS leadership and many other themes.

If any student has been treated in such a way, we encourage them to contact the Student Affairs Department with evidence. The Vice-Chancellor is known for his fatherly attitude and commitment to student welfare and we take all concerns seriously. We are here to listen and quickly resolve any issues  to ensure a fair and beneficial learning environment for all.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation. Let us work together to maintain the integrity and reputation of our esteemed institution.

Best regards,

Teslim Ayowale Salauddin Personal Assistant to  Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs, Federal University, Oye-Ekiti
