IMUS Releases Post-UTME Screening Schedule for 2024/2025 Academic Session

The Imo State University (IMSU) has officially announced the release of its Post-Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (Post-UTME) screening schedule for the 2024/2025 academic session. This announcement serves as a vital update for prospective candidates who applied for admission into IMSU through the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) and selected the university as their institution of choice.

Screening Registration Process

Candidates eligible to participate in the screening exercise must have scored a minimum of 180 in the 2024 JAMB UTME examination. Additionally, the application process involves the following steps:

  1. Online Registration: All eligible candidates are required to visit the IMSU Post-UTME portal for registration. This involves creating an account, providing essential details such as UTME registration number, and uploading relevant documents (e.g., O’level results, birth certificate).
  2. Payment of Screening Fees: After completing the registration, applicants are expected to make an online payment of the screening fee, which is stipulated at ₦2,000 (subject to change). Payment can be made via debit/credit card or bank transfer through the university’s portal.
  3. Generation of Screening Slip: Successfully registered candidates should visit www.imsuonline.edu.ng/putme-DE from Tuesday, 1st October, 2024 to print their Examination slips using their JAMB Registration Number.

Post-UTME Screening Timetable

The screening exercise has been scheduled to take place over several days to accommodate candidates across various departments and faculties. The Post-UMTE/DE Screening Exercise will commence from Tuesday,15th to Saturday, 19th October, 2024.

The screening exercise will be computer-based, assessing candidates in areas such as English Language, Mathematics, and subject-specific tests based on their chosen course of study. This process aims to ensure fairness and transparency while selecting the most qualified candidates.

Screening Requirements

Candidates are expected to bring the following documents to the screening venue:

  • Original and photocopies of JAMB result slip
  • Post-UTME screening registration slip
  • O’level certificates or printout of online results
  • Birth certificate or sworn declaration of age
  • Recent passport photographs

Failure to present any of these documents may disqualify a candidate from participating in the screening.

Important Information for Candidates

  • Punctuality: All candidates are expected to arrive at their designated venues at least an hour before the start of the examination.
  • Disqualification: Any form of malpractice or falsification of documents will result in automatic disqualification.
