MTN Scholarship Scheme For Nigerians, 2025

The MTN Foundation Scholarship Scheme is a prestigious initiative by MTN Nigeria aimed at supporting high-achieving Nigerian students in public tertiary institutions. Scholarship Categories

The MTN Foundation offers two main scholarship categories:

  1. MTN Science and Technology Scholarship (STS): This category is open to 300-level students studying science and technology-related courses in Nigerian public tertiary institutions, including universities, polytechnics, and colleges of education.
  2. MTN Scholarship for Blind Students (SBS): This scholarship is designed for 200 and 300-level blind students studying any course in Nigerian public tertiary institutions. Notably, for blind students studying Law, which is a five-year course, only those in their 300 level are eligible to apply.

Eligibility

To be eligible for the MTN Foundation Scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Nationality: Applicants must be Nigerian students enrolled in public tertiary institutions within the country.

  • Academic Performance: Applicants for the STS must maintain a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 3.5 or its equivalent (Second Class Upper). For the SBS, applicants are required to have a minimum CGPA of 2.5 or its equivalent.

Scholarship Benefits

Each successful candidate receives an annual scholarship grant of ₦300,000. This grant is intended to cover tuition fees, book allowances, and other educational expenses. The scholarship is renewable annually, provided the recipient maintains the required academic standards.
