Nigeria Maritime University Postpones Resumption Date for the 2024/2025 Academic Session

The Nigeria Maritime University (NMU), situated in Okerenkoko, Delta State, recently announced a shift in the resumption date for the 2024/2025 academic session. The university’s Management in conjunction with the Committee of Deans (CDs) has postponed the resumption date for the 2024/2025 academic session from Sunday, 17th November, 2024 to Sunday, 5th January, 2025.

New Resumption Date and Academic Calendar Adjustments

Below are the adjustments made in schedule of academic activities for the session;

  • Sunday, 5th January, 2025: Fresh students resumes
  • Monday, 6th January, 2025: Clearance for fresh students
  • Sunday, 12th January, 2025: Returning students resumes
  • Monday, 13th January, 2025: Lectures commences.

Preparing for the New Session

Students are encouraged to stay connected with their course representatives and the university’s communication channels to stay informed about updates to the academic schedule, orientation sessions, and other relevant activities. Additionally, students can use this period to review their course materials, participate in online maritime seminars, and gather insights into recent trends and developments within the maritime industry.
