NMCN Releases Midwifery Professional Examination Results – September 2024

The release of the September 2024 Professional Examination in Midwifery results has been approved by the Coordinating Honorable Minister of Health and Social Welfare.

Summary of the results shows that a total of 14,753 candidates were successful, representing an 80% pass rate. The breakdown is as follows:

– Post Basic Midwifery: 2,137 candidates were successful, representing a 92% pass rate.

– Basic Midwifery: 1,835 candidates were successful, representing a 72% pass rate.

– Basic Midwifery (Refreshers): 16 candidates were successful, representing a 100% pass rate.

– Community Midwifery: 765 candidates were successful, representing an 89% pass rate.

IMPORTANT NOTICE

1.Heads of the training institutions have been directed to check the results of their institution(s) online from Monday,16th September, 2024.

2.Successful candidates have been directed to apply online for registration and licensing on the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria Portal (http://portal.nmcn.gov.ng) with effect from September 16, 2024.

3.Please ensure that you complete the online registration process, including payment, within ninety (90) days. Any registration started but not finished within thirty (30) days will be automatically deleted by the portal.

4.Late registration will result in a penalty fee of Sixteen thousand, two hundred and fifty Naira (16,250.00) per applicant after ninety (90) days. Additionally, a penalty fee of six thousand, five hundred and sixty-two Naira (N6,562.00) will be charged per year for failure to obtain the first license.

5.The upcoming Professional Examination in Midwifery is scheduled to take place from Tuesday, 11th to Friday, 14th March, 2025.

6.Heads of nursing training institutions are requested to submit statistics of eligible candidates for the March, 2025 Professional Examination in Midwifery to [email protected] no later than 31 December, 2024, using the Examination Application Checklist (EAC). Please note that any Examination Application Checklist received after this date will be rejected.

7. Please confirm the receipt of the result and contact the Registrar/CEO immediately for the rectification of any errors. The Council will not address any complaints after thirty (30) days from the release of the result.

18. All correspondences should be directed to the Registrar/CEO, Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria, Headquarters Office, Plot 713, Cadastral Zone, Life Camp, Abuja.
