The Oregon State University Graduate Scholarship is looking for a great PhD student to help create decision models for protecting at-risk species on military lands. The chosen student will team up with others to build tools that combine species distribution, population dynamics, decision analysis, and cost-effectiveness. You will collaborate with scientists from the Department of Defense, biologists from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, and managers to turn models into real conservation strategies. These strategies will help maximize military training, land use, and conservation efforts. This research will play a key role in shaping important conservation funding and species recovery plans.
