Taraba State University (TASU) Post-UTME/Direct Entry (DE) 2024: Eligibility, Cut-off Mark, and Registration Details

Taraba State University (TASU), Jalingo, has announced the commencement of its Post-UTME and Direct Entry (DE) screening process for the 2024/2025 academic session. This article provides detailed information on eligibility, cut-off marks, and the registration process for candidates seeking admission into TASU through both Post-UTME and DE routes.

 Eligibility Criteria for TASU Post-UTME and DE

Candidates must meet the following requirements to be eligible for the TASU Post-UTME or Direct Entry screening exercise:

1. Post-UTME Applicants:

  • Candidates must have participated in the 2024 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and chosen Taraba State University as their first choice of institution.
  • Applicants must score not below 140 in the UTME.
  •  Candidates must have at least five (5) O’ Level credits, including English Language and Mathematics, in subjects relevant to their intended course of study. The O’ Level result should not exceed two sittings.
  •  Candidates awaiting O’ Level results are eligible to apply, but they must upload their results once available before the screening exercise.

2. Direct Entry (DE) Applicants:

  •  Direct Entry candidates must have chosen TASU as their first choice in the 2024 Direct Entry application.
  •  Candidates must have a National Diploma (ND), Higher National Diploma (HND), or other recognized equivalent qualifications with at least a lower credit pass.
  •  DE candidates must also have five (5) O’ Level credits, including English Language and Mathematics, relevant to their desired course of study.

Registration Details for TASU Post-UTME/DE Screening

Interested and eligible candidates must follow these steps to complete the Post-UTME/DE registration process:

  1. Login to https://apply.tsuniversity.edu.ng/register.php
  2. Click on ‘payment for Post-UTME’
  3. Select mode of entry: UTME or Direct Entry (DE)
  4. Fill in all the required information as contained in the online form and upload all relevant credentials and click submit
  5. You will be redirected to use your card (Masters, Visa or Verve Card) to make payment
  6. Print payment receipt and acknowledgement slip.
