✅ Admission Requirements

To be eligible for the Top-Up/Degree Upgrader Program, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  1. Educational Qualifications:
    • Possess a Higher National Diploma (HND) or equivalent qualification in a related field from a recognized institution.
    • Obtain a minimum of Lower Credit in the HND program.​
  2. O’Level Requirements:
    • Have at least five (5) credit passes in relevant subjects, including English Language and Mathematics, at not more than two sittings in WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB examinations.​
  3. NYSC Certificate:
    • Present a valid National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) discharge or exemption certificate.​
  4. Professional Qualifications (if applicable):
    • Additional certifications may be considered for certain programs.​

📝 Application Procedure

Interested candidates should follow the steps below to apply:

  1. Visit the UNIABUJA Portal:
  2. Navigate to the Application Section:
    • Click on the “Admissions” tab and select “Top-Up/Degree Upgrader Programme.”​
  3. Create an Account:
    • Register with a valid email address and phone number to create a user account.​
  4. Complete the Application Form:
    • Fill in the required personal and academic information accurately.​
  5. Upload Necessary Documents:
    • Provide scanned copies of the following:
      • HND certificate
      • O’Level results
      • NYSC discharge/exemption certificate
      • Recent passport photograph
  6. Pay the Application Fee:
    • A non-refundable fee of ₦15,000 is to be paid via the Remita platform integrated into the application portal.​
  7. Submit the Application:
    • Review all entered information and submit the application.
    • Print the acknowledgment slip for reference.​

📅 Application Deadline

The deadline for submission of applications is Friday, 13 June 2025. Applicants are encouraged to complete the process well before the closing date to avoid last-minute issues.​
