UNIMAID Post-UTME/DE 2024: Eligibility, Cut-off Mark, and Registration Details

The University of Maiduguri (UNIMAID) is set to conduct its Post-UTME and Direct Entry (DE) screening exercise for the 2024 academic session. This guide provides details on eligibility, cut-off marks, and registration procedures.

 Eligibility Criteria

  1.  UTME Candidates:
  • Candidates must have chosen UNIMAID as their first choice in the 2024 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
  • A minimum score of 140 in the UTME is required (subject to course-specific requirements).
  • Candidates must possess at least five (5) O’ Level credit passes in relevant subjects, including Mathematics and English, in not more than two sittings.

2.    Direct Entry (DE) Candidates:

  • Candidates must have chosen UNIMAID as their first choice for Direct Entry.
  •  Candidates must possess a minimum of an Upper Credit in their National Diploma (ND) or its equivalent from a recognized institution, or a good grade in NCE/A’ Level examinations.
  • Relevant qualifications must be presented, depending on the course of study.

 Cut-off Marks

The general cut-off mark for UNIMAID is 140 for most programs. However, certain competitive programs may require higher scores. Candidates should check the specific cut-off marks for their chosen courses on the university’s official website or admission portal.

 Registration Details

  1. Application Portal:
  • Candidates are required to visit the UNIMAID Post-UTME portal at www.unimaid.edu.ng](http://www.unimaid.edu.ng to begin the registration process.

2. Registration Fee:

  •  A non-refundable fee of **N2,000** is to be paid online via the university’s payment platform.

3. Required Documents:

  •  A recent passport photograph.
  •  UTME result slip for UTME candidates, or JAMB Direct Entry registration slip for DE candidates.
  • O’ Level results (WAEC/NECO/NABTEB).
  • ND/NCE/A’ Level results for DE candidates.

 4. Registration Procedure:

  •  Create an account on the university’s admission portal.
  • Fill in personal and academic details accurately.
  • Upload required documents and make the necessary payment.
  •  Submit the form and print the Post-UTME/DE registration slip.

Screening Date

The screening exercise will be conducted either online or physically, depending on the university’s decision for the session. The date for the screening exercise is Monday, 19th August, 2024 and will end midnight of Sunday, 20th September 2024.

 Important Notes
  •  Candidates are advised to regularly check the university’s website for updates on the screening schedule and other relevant information.
  •  Any candidate who fails to register within the stipulated period or does not participate in the screening will not be considered for admission.
